Excellent job, Ed. Hey,all you ex-choir members I've seen on the list. Who's still making the music and where? I've been living in Milwaukee since '76 and in the health care field. My music is the hobby that's cheaper than therapy. I'm a substitute pianist/organist for several area congregations - Lutheran, Methodist, Congregational - you name it. I get to do weddings, funerals-even some cocktail parties for fun. I've written several pieces of church music - a few that Salem in Ironwood has used in their services. I am part of a madrigal singing group from Mount Mary College here in Milw -learned to sing in multiple languages, even Gaelic. Just throwing out some fodder for conversation-my initials didn't spell gab for nothing. Looking forward to hearing from some of my fellow music lovers. Greta (Blomquist'70) Armata

Ken, yeah, that would work fine, as long as they were put on zip disk or burned on a CD. It would take a long time to e-mail 25 or so full size pages even if they were B/W. I'm still in the slow lane as far as the internet providers are concerned. No DSL or anything quick in the woods of NH yet. What you see in the 71 book is kinda what I'm looking for. The senior pictures are the main thing. If you or anyone else wants to do this, e-mail me and we'll organize things so that 3 people aren't doing the same thing at once. Ed

Hi Ed! What a terrific project for you to undertake on our behalf and I might add very nicely, thank you so much. Are you any relation to Rick or Leonard Estola? We too, have trouble attaching faces to names after so many years and will look for a duplicate Hematite from 1965 if you need that year? Thanks again, Darlene Krause

Darlene, Yes, Len and Rick are brothers. Rick still resides in Iwd, Len was killed in an auto accident in 1967. Ed

My roots in Ironwood gave me the strength to graduate from the U of M in Ann Arbor in 1965, obtain a private pilot's license in 1969, survive the trying times of the Vietnam War (my husband was there during the Tet offensive), and most recently endure the WTC attack in New York where I have lived for over 30 years. My husband saw the first tower collapse from his office before evacuating his building. Twelve children in our community where I teach school were left fatherless from 9/11. A school staff member lost his bride who was 5 months pregnant. I attended too many funerals for one year. But strong roots and faith in the Lord help us endure. And don't think that bones have to creak when you're over fifty. This Saturday, March 16th, I'll be carrying a snare drum all the way up Fifth Avenue in New York City , marching with an Irish pipe band in the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. You never know what you can do until you try. Teachers like Kenneth Wiele, who taught me how to play drums, and John Krznarich, encouraged me to do just that--to try.

To all Luther L. Wright graduates, I simply say, Try something new. Colleen Blaisdell Spangler '62

I know I've told you before, Ed, but thanks for putting this great website together. In this crazy, hectic adult world, we spend so much time planning for the future, reminding ourselves not to miss precious moments from the present, but seldom allow the time to go back -- WAY back -- before the kids, the marriages, the careers. I've had a great time revisiting that place and time. I've sent and received emails from some old buddies, loved reading about the Newport days, Pizza Villa (yes, I worked there too!), the band, The Conspirators (my brother was in it), the band Red Orange (Rik, are you out there?)and, oh, how I remember the motorbikes (anyone know where my accident partner, Kim Newby, is?). I was also saddened to see way too many familiar names listed that are no longer with us. Thanks for opening a door too long sealed. You've done a good thing here. Patty Nolcox '71.

Ed, You have done a great job putting together this web page. As we all get older it is nice to be able to find and chat with old friends and classmates. Your efforts will long be remebered. Jerry Nantell (1966) Waupaca, WI (jerrynantell@yahoo.com)

Ed, Thanks for the great idea of the web site and for putting the time and effort into making it work. My sister (Camille "I don't have my email address in the database" Lupino ) told me about the site earlier this week. I stayed up until 11:15 one night reading the stories in the "Remember" section, and nearly died laughing while I was reading your account of some of Johnny O's counseling methods. Ed you have a talent for storytelling. Each one brought back memories of my own. More on that later. Thanks again Mark Dal Pra ‘71
